Workshop: Paper Jewelry Amulet

Amulets, charms, and talismans have captured the human imagination for centuries. These powerful, symbolic objects originated in some of the earliest human cultures and are still worn today as personal tokens that represent deeply held beliefs, milestones, memories, and protections.

Explore the Museum’s collections for inspiration, then get hands-on the Creativity Labs. Local artist and award-winning jewelry designer Trudy Borenstein-Sugiura will guide participants in using paper-jewelry techniques to create a symbolic amulet representing protection, identity, or meaning. Materials will be provided.
